This Easter break marked a truly special moment for Villarreal Houston Academy as we officially kicked off our tournament season—both locally and across the world. It was a week that perfectly reflects who we are as an academy: a place where development meets opportunity, and where our players are given pathways that extend far beyond the local field.
⚽ Strong Presence in Houston
We began the week right here at home, with over 10 Villarreal Houston teams competing in the TSG Easter Houston Tournament.
This local competition continues to be an important step in our players’ development journey—providing meaningful game experiences, testing their growth, and reinforcing our identity and style of play.
Competing locally is where habits are built, confidence is developed, and our culture truly comes to life.
✈️ Opportunities Beyond Texas
One of the pillars of Villarreal Houston is creating real pathways for players to grow beyond their environment, and this Easter break was a perfect example of that.
We are proud of Brydon Singleton (2013), who was called up to represent the Houston Dynamo Academy at the Rayados International Tournament in Orlando.
Not only did Brydon step into a higher-level environment—he played a role in helping his team become tournament champions.
Experiences like this highlight the strength of our partnerships and the doors that open for players who consistently perform and stay committed to their development.
🌍 International Stage – Spain
This Easter, Villarreal Houston was proudly represented on the global stage in Spain.
🇪🇸 Majorca International Football Cup
Five of our players were selected through the Villarreal CF North America identification program to compete in one of the most prestigious youth tournaments in Europe:
Niya Nganga
Grace Newell
Analiese Rivas
Caslin Esteban
Piper Frith
They competed against top academies such as Atlético de Madrid Femenil and Real Madrid Femenil, gaining invaluable experience at the highest level of youth football.
Moments like these go beyond wins and losses—they shape confidence, perspective, and belief.
🏆 Yellow Cup Champions – Villarreal, Spain
At the same time, Caleb Coronel, a Villarreal Houston player currently in residency with Villarreal CF in Spain, competed in the Yellow International Easter Cup.
Representing Villarreal CF in the Juvenil category, Caleb and his team secured the championship title—a massive achievement and a proud moment for our entire academy.
Caleb’s journey is a powerful example of what is possible through commitment, consistency, and taking advantage of every opportunity along the pathway.
🟡 More Than Soccer: A True Development Pathway
This Easter break wasn’t just about tournaments—it was about development in every form.
From local competition in Houston…To national exposure in Orlando…To international experiences in Spain…
This is what Villarreal Houston Academy is all about.
Our commitment is clear:
Develop players on and off the field

These experiences are not случай—they are the result of:
