💛 Big News: Our 15U Girls Academy Team is Headed to the STX State Classic League! 💛

We’re beyond excited to share some HUGE news from our Villarreal Houston family — our 15U Girls Academy Teamhas officially earned promotion to the STX State Classic League (SCL) for the upcoming 2025/26 soccer season!

This is a massive achievement for our club and an incredible milestone for this talented group of young athletes. These girls have put in the work, showed incredible dedication, and played their hearts out all year long — and it paid off in a big way.

A Season to Remember

Their promotion to the State Classic League comes after a remarkable run through the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 seasons. Week after week, this team showed growth, confidence, and unity on the field — and their effort didn’t go unnoticed.

One of the highlights of the year? Our international trip to Spain, where the team competed in both the Villarreal Academy Cup and the Yellow Summer Cup. Facing off against elite teams from across Europe, our girls had the unforgettable opportunity to play twice against Villarreal CF’s 3rd Division Academy Team. While the competition was fierce, our team responded with grit, tenacity, and a hunger to improve with every match. They represented Houston and the Villarreal name with pride, passion, and class.

What the STX State Classic League Means

Now, as we look ahead to the new season, we are thrilled to begin play in the South Texas Youth Soccer State Classic League — the most competitive league in South Texas. This league brings higher-level matchups, more exposure, and new challenges that will help our girls take the next step in their development journey.

We’re also proud to share that we are the only 15U Girls team from Northeast Houston participating in the SCL this season — a major honor and responsibility that we don’t take lightly.
